Synopsis: In this story, Shinnosuke and his family attend a nostalgic 20th-century convention. While adults like Hiroshi and Misae are captivated, children such as Shinnosuke and Himawari feel uneasy. The event’s organizers, Ken and Chaco, initiate a plan to eliminate the “smell of the 21st century,” causing adults to regress into childish behavior overnight. Shinnosuke soon discovers that the entire adult population, including his parents and teachers, have become irresponsible. Eventually, trucks take the adults to a place designed to recreate the 20th century. As the situation worsens, media reverts to 20th-century content, electricity fails, and attempts are made to abduct the remaining children. Realizing it’s a trap, Shinnosuke, Himawari, their friends, and his dog Shiro hide in a department store and later escape on a stolen bus, accidentally entering the 20th-century zone. After a daring mission to rescue their parents, Shinnosuke uses his father’s foot odor to counteract the nostalgic scent controlling the adults. The family then works together to stop Ken and Chaco’s plan to trap the world in the past. Ultimately, inspired by Shinnosuke’s actions, the brainwashed adults regain clarity, and Ken and Chaco abandon their plan. Families reunite, and everyone returns home, ready to face the future.
